Can I send you a product idea and have you make it immediately?

Not usually. A product idea needs to be properly assessed before we can determine the appropriate formulation, ingredients, manufacturing process, packaging requirements, testing requirements and production cost. For custom products, we normally begin with a consultation and product development discussion before moving into formulation and sampling.

Can I send only the product name and ask for the price?

A product name alone is usually not enough to provide an accurate manufacturing quotation. For example, two products both called "body lotion" can have very different formulations, ingredients, active materials, packaging and manufacturing costs. We need sufficient information about your product and requirements before preparing a meaningful quotation.

Do I need to know anything about formulation before working with Granels?

No. You do not need to be a cosmetic formulator. Our role is to help translate your product idea into a technically appropriate cosmetic product.

What is custom formulation?

Custom formulation is the process of developing a cosmetic product specifically for your brand and requirements. We work with you to determine the desired product characteristics, ingredients, texture, appearance, fragrance, performance and other technical requirements before developing and refining the formula.

Can Granels develop a product completely from scratch?

Yes. You can approach us with a product concept rather than a finished formula. We can work with you through product development, formulation, sample evaluation, refinement and preparation for manufacturing.

I already have a formula. Can Granels manufacture it?

Yes. Our technical team can review an existing formula and determine whether it is suitable for manufacturing at Granels. Depending on the condition of the formula, we may recommend formula optimization, testing or further development before production.

Can Granels copy another brand's product?

You may provide a reference product to help us understand the characteristics you want. We do not simply reproduce another company's proprietary formula. Instead, we can use the reference product to understand desired characteristics and develop a product based on your requirements.

There is no single timeline for every product. Development time depends on the complexity of the product, raw material availability, formulation adjustments, client feedback and testing requirements. A development timeline will be discussed once the product requirements have been assessed.

No. Custom formulation involves formulation work, laboratory time and raw materials. Development samples are therefore part of the paid product development process.

Our standard contract manufacturing MOQ is 500 units. Requests below the standard MOQ may be considered in exceptional circumstances, depending on the product, packaging, raw materials and production economics.

Yes, where applicable, but the process depends on the service. White label samples and custom formulation samples are handled differently. For custom formulation, samples are part of the paid product development process.

Our development process is structured rather than open-ended. We first establish your product requirements and develop samples based on the agreed brief. Feedback and revisions are then handled within the agreed development process.

We prefer to provide a quotation based on actual project requirements rather than give an inaccurate price based only on a product name.
